Avaya one-X®

Avaya one-X® is a family of communications applications and collaboration tools designed for end users. It supports Unified Communications across a wide range of platforms, including desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, and dedicated IP deskphones. Avaya one-X Products allow business users to work from any location using a variety of public and private networks. Using industry standards such as SIP or H.323, one-X Products offer simple, intuitive access to everyday communication and collaboration tools.

Avaya one-X® Communicator

This software product is an ideal choice for power users like executives and administrative assistants who communicate frequently, managing multiple calls and ad-hoc conferencing. It provides access to Communication Manager features including softphone capabilities and ad hoc audio and video conferencing. Users can click to initiate emails and instant messages from one-X Communicator via IBM Lotus Notes, Microsoft Outlook, or Microsoft Office Communicator. When integrated with the one-X Portal server, one-X Communicator offers presence, visual voice mail, management of audio conference calls, and 24×7 call logs. Avaya one-X Communicator can be used with your office desk phone as well as by mobile or remote workers.

Avaya one-X® Mobile

This line of software clients extends the power of the Avaya one-X® product family to mobile employees. Avaya one-X Mobile offers full integration with enterprise applications like visual voicemail, corporate directory, VIP lists, and call logs. Users can initiate business calls through Avaya Aura™ Communication Manager maintaining their enterprise identity and reducing long distance charges. Clients are available for the RIM BlackBerry, Palm, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Java and iPhone platforms.

Avaya one-X® Portal

This web-based unified communications client provides a simple, consistent interface to critical applications, giving users control of telephony, conferencing, messaging, presence, mobility administration, and access to corporate and personal contact information. Avaya one-X Portal complements the desk phone while in the office and supports mobile and remote workers from any location. Since one-X Portal can be used from any Internet connection, it can play an important role in business continuity planning.
